The IBYR was started as the result of Evangelist Terry Danford (then Pastor of McGregor Road Baptist Church) having a burden for a youth rally in Indiana that would hold fast to Biblical principles and encourage young people to live for the Lord. In 2023 the rally will celebrate 25 years of faithfully challenging young people to know their Bibles and to hide God's Word in their hearts.
  The rallies are held on the first Friday of every month between September and May. A different church hosts the rally each month. The rally consists of 7 portions: Singing, Sword Drills, Scripture Memorization, Bible Quizzes, Magnum Messages (Young men preaching for 7 minutes), Pastoral Preaching, and Fellowship.
  The Rallies are hosted and supported through a fellowship of churches of like faith and practice. They are:
