Our Teachers
True Light Baptist Church believes that God gives the gift of teaching to faithful individuals who demonstrate a desire to study and proclaim God's Word. In order to allow others the opportunity to use and develop their gifts AND because different ages learn at different levels we have Sunday School classes for all ages. Let us introduce to you the Sunday School teachers of TLBC:
Adult Sunday School Class
Bro. Ben Percell has been a member of TLBC going on four years. Bro. Ben has been a faithful part of many ministries of the church including: Jail Ministry, Soul Winning, Discipleship Ministry, Music Ministry, and reading our missionary's prayer letters during Wednesday night prayer meetings.

Bro. Ben is a public high school history teacher and married to Sister Jenny Purcell.

Youth Sunday School
Bro. Rob Wilson has been a member of TLBC for over 25 years! He has been a faithful part of many ministries of the church including: Jail Ministry, Music ministry (including being our song leader), soul winning, IBYR Ministry, and prayer ministry.

Sister Denise Wilson, though not a teacher in the class, faithfully helps her husband in the youth class. She is a great testimony of Christian ladyship to the young ladies. Sister Denise is faithful in many other ministries as well, including: Music ministry (including being our piano player), Bulletin Ministry, Prayer List Ministry, IBYR Ministry, Soul Winning, and Fellowship Ministry.

Bro. Rob is an employee of a local Indianapolis printing company.
​
Sister Denise is a home maker, homeschools her children, and teaches at a homeschool coop.
Junior Class
(Ages 8-11)
Sister Judy Thornsley (affectionately called Granny) has been a member for four years. She spent 25 years as a missionary's wife in Germany reaching the American military with the Gospel. Granny is faithful in many ministries of the church including: Jail Ministry, Youth Clubs, Fellowship Ministry, Soul Winning, and Discipleship Ministry.

Granny is retired and a widow. She enjoys spending her time with her grandkids and doing arts and crafts.

Children's Class
(Ages 3-7)
Sister Jenny Purcell has been a member of TLBC for going on four years. Sis. Jenny has been a faithful part of many ministries of the church including: Jail Ministry, Soul Winning, Music Ministry, and Fellowship Ministry.

Sister Jenny is a home maker and part time helper at a Christian School. She loves baking and spending time with her husband and two pugs.
